Busthan Womens College
THERE was a time that education for girls had been barred in most communities in general and muslim community in particular. But now, the time has changed. Now daughters’ higher education is a presti-gious intention of every parent. But their security is one of their main anxieties. Daily reports from some college campus ensue real nightmare to them. Keeping these aspects into consideration, Busthan boldly decided to start a full Women’s college, beginning with +1, +2, BA, B.Com & B.Sc. Busthan goal is to offer secured campus, peaceful environment that maintains communal harmony and culture above all integrated higher study under due supervision of qualified and well experienced teachers.
Although the college was opened on 6th July, officially inaugurated by Mr. D.P. Dhanapalan, M.P. on 27th July. It is housed in newly constructed single storey building with 4 class rooms and got inaugurated by Prof. K.A. Abdul Wahab of MES College, Kodungalloor on 9th August 2010. Prof. (Mrs) Lekha C.R. is the Principal duly assisted by Prof. (Mrs) Zenath P.B.
+1 (Commerce Stream) and B. Com classes have been started and first terminal examination was conducted in the First week of September. Results were promising. Accordingly, students, parents and teachers were happy; management too.
