Karuna Bhavan ( Mercy Home)
“Be merciful to those on earth; The One Who is in Heaven will be merciful to you” ( Hadeeth).
Taking the above teaching of Prophet Mohammed ( May peace be upon him) and based on the areal study in the neighbourhood in to consideration, BUSTHAN took a serious and bold step to share the pain of grieving parents of the children who are mentally and physically retardant by organizing a Home for them and Karuna Bhavan (Mercy Home ) came into existence.
27th July, 2010 was a memorable day for Busthan, when Shri K.P. Dhanapalan, M.P. happily inaugur-ated the Home and Shri T.N. Pratapan, MLA delivered a very heartfelt speech in support thereof.
It housed in a small tile-roofed building of three class rooms with necessary amenities. In two Classes (Pre-primary & Primary) there are 18 students, between 5 and 17 years ages and Two dedicated and well – trained teachers supported by two nannies. A qualified and professional physiotherapist’s service is availed of and looking for a Speech Therapist. A small Omni passenger Van is also arranged for transporting the kids. The Home looks after the children, educate them to their respective levels so as to enable them to stand for themselves…. Free of charges…… These are temporary arrangements…..
As a matter of fact, Busthan is not wealthy enough to start such an establishment. But it has a history and credentials of social services that instigated the management to start it. It has a heavy burden, by way of salary of staff, vehicle and maintenance that amounts to be Rs. 20,000.00 per year each child. There we expect hands of well wishers and those who have a drop of mercy in their broad hearts to sponsor these poor kids (Rs. 20,000/- per child). We accord our gratitude to the noble personalities who sponsored some kids. May Almighty God reward them prospectively in this world and hereafter.
It is very imperative, we construct a permanent building to house them properly. A plan is drawn, estimate is worked out and official permission from Panchayat authorities obtained. Estimate of the proposed building is Rs. 40,00,000/- (Rupees Forty Lakhs only). We look forward generosity of broad hearted personalities for helping us to fulfill this noble cause.
